Brief introduction of the rivets usage

Brief introduction of the use of rivets

Semi-circular head rivets are mainly used for riveting occasions with large lateral loads and are most widely used.
Flat cone head rivets are resistant to corrosion due to their large nail heads. They are often used in shipbuilding, boiler water tanks and other highly corrosive riveting occasions.

The countersunk head and 1200 countersunk head rivets are mainly used for riveting occasions where the surface must be smooth and the load is not large.

Semi countersunk head and 1200 semi countersunk head rivets are mainly used for riveting occasions where the surface must be smooth and the load is not large.

Flat head rivets are used for riveting with general loads.

Flat head and round head rivets are mainly used for riveting occasions of metal sheets or non-metallic materials such as leather, canvas and wood.

Large flat head rivets are mainly used for riveting non-metallic materials.

Semi-hollow rivets are mainly used for riveting occasions with little load. For the selection of the head type, please refer to the introduction of various solid rivets mentioned above.

Headless rivets are mainly used for riveting non-metallic materials.

Hollow rivets are light in weight and weak in nail heads, and are used for riveting occasions with non-metallic materials that do not carry large loads.

Tubular rivets are used for riveting non-metallic materials without load.

Sign rivets are mainly used for riveting the name plates on machines and equipment.

Blind rivets are a type of rivets used for single-sided riveting, but they must be riveted using special tools-riveting guns (manual, electric, and mechanical). This type of rivet is particularly suitable for riveting occasions where it is inconvenient to use ordinary rivets (which must be riveted from both sides), so it is widely used in construction, automobiles, ships, aircraft, machinery, electrical appliances, furniture and other products. Among them, the open type round head rivet is the most widely used. The countersunk head rivet is suitable for riveting occasions that require smooth performance, and the closed type rivet is suitable for riveting occasions that require higher load and certain sealing performance.

Core punch rivets are another type of single-sided riveted rivets. When riveting, hit the head of the rivet with a hammer to expose the nail core, making it flush with the end surface of the nail head, that is, the riveting operation is completed, which is very convenient, especially suitable for inconvenience Riveting occasions using ordinary rivets (riveting from both sides) or blind rivets (lack of riveting guns). Usually, the round head core riveting is used. The countersunk head core rivet is suitable for occasions where the surface needs smooth riveting.
